The Tonitrus is the best non-dlc weapon on a strength/arc build. Buffed with L1 it does godly damage. Use it with the Hunter's Axe which is also a beastly weapon. The transformed mode on the axe will be your range weapon. R2 "spin to win" will save you in many fights. 2.Anything above 10 skill does pretty good damage still. My BL43 with 25 skill does over 1500 dmg and 3000+ with beasthood and this is without clawmark runes. I think visceral is an important tool to use even if you have low skill. First it still can do decent damage and there is no way for the enemy to avoid it..
