Cetme-c - Basically, it should "wiggle" a bit back and forth when the bolt is closed. If there is no gap, meaning that the bolt carrier rests directly against the charging handle, the rifle will probably tear its cocking tube off of the receiver during regular use. It's not a common issue, but it does come up every now and then.

 
Cetme C cocking tube extension necessary? I messed up a bit on my kit. While de milling my kit I accidentally cut into the the top part of the cocking tube extension and while removing the welds with a chisel deformed it a bit so the top of the bolt carrier will not slide into the cocking tube.
